Back in the saddle!!!

A lot of you have been asking me when we're going to get together again for a rousing game of paintball. Well I'm here to tell ya that it's around the corner. The snow is gone and the sun is here, if only sporadically. Paradise Paintball in Port Orchard is the place. Nothing like returning to the scene of the crime (read below). The date is the only thing I'm trying to figure out. Any ideas guys? It's got to be one of these dates (4/20, 4/21, 4/47, 4/28, 5/4, 5/5, 5/11, 5/12).

I lost a lot of your email addresses when my old harddrive crashed and I lost all of it. So if you have the time drop me note so I can email all of this stuff to you.

Update: 10/14/2001

Well 9/15 was an eventful day for me. If you haven't heard I broke my leg and totally screwed my foot up playing paintball. I was making my move past mid field to a bunker and noticed that no one had seen me move yet so I decided to slide so that I would surprise the other team. When I slid my left foot planted right behind a tuft of grass and then *crack* and *rip* then I was laying on the ground feeling my foot swell very large. I tore a bunch of ligaments in my foot and they had to screw my leg and ankle back together with 5 little screws, a 5 inch plate, and one gigantic screw (for my ankle joint) that looks similar to a wood screw. I've been relegated to a wheel chair for at least 2 months and possibly 3 months. I'm hoping the doctor will let me move to crutches before Christmas.

So I'm out for the year. One suggestion for players with cleats. Get rid of them or get rid of the large cleats on the shoe so when you slide you do just that. I'm going back to my tennis shoes after physical therapy. I'm not going to have this happen again.

Here's a pic of my foot 45 minutes after it happened.

I'll put up a new one of the hardware in my leg when I get the new one from my doctor.
