To advance in rank within the team a team member has to fulfill a few requirements:

  1. Dedicated to supporting team events and promoting the sport of paintball.
  2. Support team members with their equipment and help with improving their game skills and tactics.
  3. Lead by example.
  4. Give constructive criticism to teammates and explain how to overcome weaknesses and win.
  5. Above all else, be supportive of others decisions, be it equipment and/or game decisions.
  6. Have fun and make it fun for everyone.

Let me give a few examples:

  1. Showing up to as many games as possible and help with administrative tasks to get the events that are planned off the ground.
  2. Be willing to sit out a few games to help a teammate get their gun or equipment functioning properly.
  3. Play safe, Play fair, and have fun.
  4. If you see someone make a mistake, help them recognize what they did wrong and how to fix it in the future.
  5. This one is sort of self explanatory.
  6. This one as well.

Official Rules for Members of Team RGB

Created 12/00 By Capt. Jason "Slim Shady" Reed

The rules are to be divided into logical sections for easy perusal.

Finances:

Rule 1. All team purchases will be approved by vote. Majority wins.

Rule 2. Every team member will contribute his or her designated share to the purchase.

Note: To truly be a part of Team RGB we have to make some purchases (Rank lapel pins, Patches, Possibly name tags) and since I can't afford to buy everything for you guys, we have to divide the total evenly amongst the Team Members.

Rule 3. Any team member can submit a proposal to their Lieutenant or Captain for a team purchase that will subsequently be put up for vote.

Rule 4. Your Lieutenant will collect all fees. Note: To find out who your Lieutenant is refer to the Team Assignments above.

Rule 5. All game day charges, field fees, and rental charges are due 2 weeks prior to the game date.

Rule 6. Your Lieutenant will collect all game day charges, field fees, and rental charges.

Rule 7. Fees and charges are refundable up to 4 days prior to the date of play.

Rule 8. The Captain will securely hold all money for payment of group reservations and team purchases.

Conduct:

Rule 1. Every team member will help develop and improve the skills of those players that require improvement.

Rule 2. Under no circumstances will a team member conduct themselves by being:

a. Condescending: If you are a good player then show how good you are by helping the lesser skilled players. We are a team and therefore we should strive to help everyone gain skill while enjoying the experience of playing paintball.

b. Rude: This can be defined as anything you wouldn't want someone to do to someone you love.

c. Confrontational: Albeit the game is about confrontation but this is refers more about what happens off the field. No fighting and no "rubbing it in", on or off the field.

d. Belligerent: This is a TEAM. We want to help each other enjoy the experience. For people that want to improve, this is the easiest way to make people avoid helping you.

Rule 3. Under no circumstances will any of the above-mentioned actions be conducted to anyone inside or outside of the team while he or she represents the team.

Rule 4. Every team member will strive to make the game of Paintball fun for everyone, not just for the team members.

Rule 5. Every team member will follow the safety instructions of the field explicitly.

Rule 6. No team member will cheat. Any team member that finds someone breaking any of these rules should bring it to the attention of their Lieutenant. The Lieutenants will consult the Captain on the best course of action.

Rule 7. A shooter that is within 15 feet that has a targeted person in his/her sights (more than just a limb) and will be able to shoot him/her without their awareness will tell the targeted person "You're Dead!". The "dead" player will immediately call himself/herself out and walk off the field according to the rules governing the game being played. Outside of this zone, both players are under the rules established by the field.

Miscellaneous:

Rule 1. Members who think that someone would be a good addition to the team should give their name to their Lieutenant who will then, with the Captain, approach the individual and assess if they are a good fit for our team.

Rule 2. The Captain and Lieutenants will be available to help any team member with an issue or question.

Rule 3. You must have fun! If not, bring it to the attention of your Lieutenant or Captain and we'll hopefully find a way to rectify the situation.

Additional notes:

We started this team with the idea that we could play together and enjoy ourselves while improving our skills and if we got enough "serious" players, we would possibly play in tournaments. So far we have done just that. Many of you are already talking of purchasing your own marker and many have already purchased masks. The purpose of this page is to keep the trend going and make sure that we all enjoy ourselves. No one enjoys the hospital or getting belittled by others and this is now in place to try and make sure that doesn't happen.

Thank you and welcome to the team,

Capt. Jason "Slim Shady" Reed
